Janek Simon (b. 1977, Poland) studied at the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Jagiellonian University (1996-2001). He is a recipient of the “Spojrzenia” prize awarded by the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in cooperation with Deutsche Bank (2007) and has participated in many residency programs, including Headlands Artist in Residence in San Francisco and Gasworks in London. In 2019, the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw hosted a cross-sectional exhibition of the artist, accompanied by a monographic publication.
