Xawery Wolski was born in 1960 in Warsaw, and he is known as a Polish-Mexican artist and sculptor. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and Krakow, the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture. In 1996, he became involved in an informal art circle in Mexico, collaborating with the renowned sculptor Juan Soriano. During this time, he created some of his most important projects, including the Chain of Infinity sculpture, permanently displayed at the entrance to the Rufi no Tamayo Museum, a series of objects created for the Four Seasons Hotel in Punta Mita, and stelae in Álvaro Obregón (near the Metro Zapata exit), which he made in collaboration with children. Between 2008 and 2009, Wolski worked in Bangkok, by invitation from the Jim Thompson Foundation. He also participated in numerous residency programs, spending several years in Asia and India. There, he created objects that aimed to capture
the essence of the metaphysical and cultural themes.

In his own words, Wolski says, I am interested in creating communication bridges between the past and the present, in unity, and with the hope that dialogue across time and space will create new qualities.
